Much of Phuong's work experience has been in sales & marketing, people management positions, and country responsibilities at leading multinational pharmaceutical companies. Through the years, Phuong has led successful launches for a number of pharmaceutical and healthcare brands as well as successfully managed life-cycles of a variety of global brands in over-the-counter, primary and prescription franchises, in Vietnam pharmaceutical market. He has led his cross-functional teams to achieve ethical growths of businesses in Vietnam as well as to speed up business start-ups in neighboring countries such as Myanmar and Cambodia.
His enriched experience includes strategic management for categories such as analgesics, antisepsis, gastro-enterology, neuroscience, pediatrics, dermatology, obstetrics & gynecology, skin care cosmeceuticals, and antiseptics. Phuong also has rich experience in people development. He has conducted classes for managers in product management, marketing management, marketing strategic planning, advertising process, and people management. Currently, Phuong is the country manager for Vietnam operations of a multinational pharmaceutical corporation.
Phuong had been a regional trainer in Marketing Excellence for a multinational pharmaceutical corporation in Asia-Pacific region. He has facilitated regional marketing trainings for Asian managers. His expertise includes the application of six sigma in particular. He is a certified Green Belt in Six Sigma after completing his project in marketing domain.
